Generous Giving
Bible text: 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NLT)
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.

Giving is one aspect many people do not want to talk or hear about. People shy away from the subject matter and criticize others who often teach or talk about it.
Our Bible text encourages us to give wholeheartedly and without compulsion for God loves a cheerful giver. We are also encouraged not to give reluctantly; that is to say we shouldn't be forced to give.
Generous giving should be your nature and  a part of you.
Years ago while undergoing my nation service, my then fellowship in camp asked us to give our entire allowance for the work of God. It was a hard decision for many, but some finally gave while others did not. Soon after we left camp, so many mighty testimonies were recorded ranging from those who got automatic job placements, lovely place for primary assignment and better pay package to mention but few.
No one has ever given genuinely without getting something better and bigger. There is a reward for everything you have ever given.
When you give genuinely, you become fulfilled and there is a blessing attached to it.
Giving shouldn't only be monetary. You give your time, your skills and talent etc.
Today and every day of your life, choose to give generously. Choose to give with all your heart. Choose to support God's work; not under compulsion, but with a free and pure heart.
You will reap every good seed you have sown in Jesus name. Amen

Luke 6:30
So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.

Prayer:Lord Jesus, thank you for today's teaching. Thank you for all you have given and provided for me. Help me to give cheerfully. Help me to give generously. Amen
