 WHAT YOU MUST CONSIDER BEFORE THINKING OF GETTING MARRIED

Most people would agree with me that a happy marriage is one of life’s great treasures.  Unfortunately, the odds of making a good marital union are not in our favor.  We have a high rate of divorce  in the U.S. than in any other continent of the world. Social researchers believe that only around twenty-five percent of all marriages work satisfactorily, as most marriages tend to end before its 5th Anniversary.

Married couples misunderstand themselves and before you know it, they are separated.

In most countries, women are sent out of the home after failing to get pregnant and conceive.

Most women take longer period to conceive while others get pregnant at least two weeks after wedding especially when they it fell into their ovulation period.

It is important that men should be patient with their spouse and not chasing them away after failing to get pregnant and conceive.

WHAT YOU SHOULD ASK YOURSELF

1.    It is important and necessary  to accept each other’s faults,weakness flaws, and shortcomings without the need to make changes.

This is an important and possibly the most necessary question here.  It reaches into the heart of the relationship and addresses a matter basic for stability and long union.

2.    HAS YOUR COURTSHIP BEEN SMOOTH OR SCARY

Frequent  premarital fights predict break after marriage.

Did you both get along well during your time of dating, or did you have many fights and disagreements?  

3.     DO YOU LIKE THE WAY YOU FEEL ABOUT

YOURSELF EXPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE WITH HIM/HER?

The way you feel about yourself when in your partners company frequently reflects your partner’s underlying, often unstated sentiments.

This is really a variant of the previous questions and has to do with feelings of personal acceptance stemming from the relationship, but at deeper levels. 

4.    DO you HAVE COMPATIBLE INTERESTS, ATTITUDES, VALUES AND GOALS?

It is important to be in harmony about the things you like to do, the beliefs you hold important, the way you view the world, and your life’s objectives.

These issues are so fundamentally important I could have listed them first.  These are also the areas most frequently focused on by dating services.  Without a reasonable match in these four areas, we diminish our chances for a long and successful relationship. 

5.    IS YOUR  PARTNER SEXUALLY ATTRACTIVE AND SATISFYING you?

Notice i used a letter different from the others?it is because Sexual compatibility are vital parts of a lasting and satisfying marriage.

For almost everyone, sexual gratification is one of the prime features of marriage.  It is important that your needs be met in this area. 

6. DO YOU HAVE A PAID JOB?

Believe me, marriage is boring when you can't meet most of your financial needs, so it is important you take up a paid employment no matter how little so you or your spouse can have something to pay your utility bills, rent, service the car and even feed.

Do not marry a person out of pity

Do not marry a person because you feel they complete you.

Marriage doesn't complete anyone.

Marriage makes you feel loved so in other to enjoy it, it is better you marry a person that you love and can leave with.

You cannot change a person so don't marry a person with a bad character hoping to change them someday.
